Silver for Best Guided Tour

Most of you will already know (we were so excited that we couldn't keep it to ourselves!) that we are delighted to have won a Silver Award in the Cornwall Tourism Awards for 2017/18. This time it was in a new category of Best Guided Tour on Land or Water, which we obviously couldn't resist entering! We had a mystery guest judge who visited, and our social media and website were also judged. Appropriately, the guest of honour last night was Cornwall's own Olympian Helen Glover!
It's a fantastic result, not least as a reward for all the hard work Steve our new Boatman put in, along with our loyal and talented helpers - Will James who was always ready to help - sometimes several trips a day, Tom Parsons, visiting on his holiday, but keen not to miss out, Bronte Holden who helped out in between her kayak training, and our newest, accidental helpers Fiona & Dave who were always ready to help when we had a last minute flood of bookings!
Although Carol was not on the water, her unwavering support, and unflappable style had us and many of our customers in stitches, and made their visit to us fun and memorable!
Karen had to make something to wear of course, and this time it was a hand painted skirt detailed with many of the birds we see on our trips, with embroidery, but toned down a little under a sheer over layer...
It goes without saying that this has given us a tremendous boost for next season - we are open all year round, so you don't have to wait until Easter if you want to join us on the river. We will be at the Fowey Christmas Market about selling the panerai replica watches at the end of November, before sitting down to create and plan some new ideas and adventures for 2018!
