Autumn Paddles

We had a wonderful series of trips over half term, managing to show everyone the Estuary in lovely Autumn sunshine, and almost no wind, making life much easier and very enjoyable!
Group sizes at this time of year are smaller than in the summer holidays, and this gives everybody chance to meet and chat to each other, and for us to have more time to paddle in and out of people, helping them with their paddling and talking about the Fowey and the landscape and it's wildlife.
We had quite a few beginners, and we think they all were encouraged to have another go, and we also managed to spot elusive Kingfishers & Dabchicks, Cormorants, Shags, Herons & Egrets, our embankment Redshanks & Oystercatchers - just to name a few....
We are open all year round, although we will have a short break to recharge the batteries, and then we will offer a few days a week - although we are happy to consider organising trips if you have a specific day or destination in mind.
And for those of you who are local, we will be at the Fowey Christmas Market, selling gift vouchers, replica watches, and our own Boatshed goodies - all designed by Karen, and exclusive to Encounter Cornwall!
